So, are any of you also suffering from your seasonal allergies unseasonably early this year?
I was a mess for most of the month, between lack of sleep because I couldn’t breathe and sneezing constantly... It started in mid-late February!

I have them at the end of spring. And they’re bad.

I wonder if they’ll come early for you, too, due to this weird season we’be had this far.
I just got my kenalog shot last week and I’m feeling amazing now, but man was that bad... I can barely believe how early it started or how bad it got so fast this time.

It’s going to be the hottest fucking summer in fucking fuck fuck. One of the things I loved about living here is becoming a memory: the weather.

Yes, Zyrtec-D is my savior. All hail Zyrtec-D

That worries me. This last summer was terrible. I moved here for dreary, constantly-drizzly, rarely-sunny, and never hot weather. I hate the sun and heat, hence this should have been a perfect environment.
The shot has, shockingly, not completely cured me. It’s a huge help, but not as good as I’ve experienced in the past. The fact it is still this bad this early in the season is very worrisome.

I’m glad it works for you.
It doesn’t do much for me, sadly, like all the pills and sprays anymore. Mine are so severe that I have to get an immune system suppressing injection to simply endure them.

When they hit, it will probably be bad. This season is shaping up to be quite extreme.

I usually never have allergy problems, but yesterday I got hit HARD. I have no idea what is causing it, but I have been switching between Benadryll Allergy at night and Claritin D during the day. It has taken the edge off, but I can’t seem to get it beaten. Maybe I should just start wearing my respirator everywhere.

I have another month before mine usually start up. Mostly just fatigue and burning eyes for me.
Not looking forward to it. Thanks for reminding me.

Yes, started a month ago when we had rain and then very hot week. Everything bloomed and I am dying. We have cotton willows behind my work and lots of wind. The whole place is covered and filled with their spores. It sucks. I am going to an allergist to start allergy shots.

The main reason why my stepmother wanted to leave NC was because of the dreaded pollen. And one of the main reasons why I like Seattle in the spring is because there is next to no pollen.

But there has been quite a bit this year. The rain helps a lot with it (I’m generally better off here than most places, but this year it came on with a vengeance), but it’s still there. My car is often covered in so much that it looks like a yellow powder that blows off when I move the car... Something you rarely see where I grew up.
On the other hand, it’s nothing like some of the crap I dealt with in SoCal... Clouds of pollen-filled cotton and desert plants that depended on the wind...

I was on the island last March, and the pollen wasn’t at all bad compared to NC standards where everything is yellow for a month. Our A3 is white with a black roof (sports!), but that roof is now yellow.

This year has been unusual. My allergies lit up much earlier than usual due to this weather. I’ve already seen some days where the pollen was thick enough to leave a layer on my car (luckily, it’s not sticky).
